In the beginning, there was only Auro, the Great Mother of all creation. She resided at the Nexus of Creation, where she eventually decided, out of the pain of having to bear a love she could not share, to construct the Elder Forge, a great shaper of many things like the stars, the three moons in the sky, and even the world itself. After eons of planning, and eons of building, the Great Forge was completed at the center of the Nexus of Creation, thus allowing her to form the land of Qestrus, filled with great mountains, rolling plains, and great oceans and seas. Though beautiful, the world was without light, and could not be seen by Auro, so she forged a beacon of light to replicate her image onto the blue skies Qestrus', giving birth to bright sun to shed light upon the lands and allow her to bask in its beauty. Now able to see the sprawling lands and calm seas, she created fauna to live on those lands, and the flora to feed her creations. Unfortunately, she is not able to directly communicate with this new life, so she, yearning for companionship, created her brother Erudas.
