Party Introduction

Each member of the party finds their way in to Silverwick and each makes their first stop the Arbiter's guild, only to find it is not what was expected. THe party begin to investigate the town and find that some of the people may be suffering, the Temple has lost it's patrons, and something is amiss with the town mayor. After a night of relaxing at the tavern, the party is ambushed by Bugbears who seem to have an interest in killing Niko.

Each member of the party attempts to find work at the Arbiters Guild, only to find it run down and barely functional. A rotund tiefling is running the location while training his two nephews in a makeshift combat ring in the courtyard of the guild. The party, unsure of what is going on, heads to the temple to get more information on what is happening in this town.
Once there, the party meets Altix Dapplerest, an Athenite and currently the only surviving member of this temple location. He explains that the other members of the temple were killed 5 years earlier, supposedly by members of the The People of Kurn who lived in a nomadic tribe nearby. They were harrassing the local farmers so the temple members went to negotiate a peace, only to be killed. Lolte, the local captain of the guard, took 15 of her men to the nearby camp and supposedly qiped them out. Altix has been sending letters to Ferron's Legacy ever since asking for replacement members, but recieving only responses stating there are no replacements available. This conflicts with Niko's information that letters coming from Silverwick stated all was ok.
This conflict caused the party to try to speak with the mayor. After a quick word of command to try and get in the gates, Lolte was brought out to speak with the party. She advised she did not know about the issue with the letters, as all letters sent by the temple were paid for and delivered by a local courier. Lolte advised that she would set up a meeting for the party with the mayor the next day and requested they leave the premesis.
After this, the party investigated the storage depot where shipments are sent out from the town. Niko discovered some odd legers pointing to a possible cover of the letters from Altix not being sent out properly. In the mean time, Cyprin witnessed the local smithy working her hands raw, and provided her with his working gloves.
The party then decided to stay the night at the temple itself, but went to the Miner's Fortune Inn for a quick bite to eat. There they met Sana and Jym, the owner and her son for the inn. They also met Jym's bet Gero, a domesticated Mimic. After their evening meal, they headed back to the temple for some rest.
In the night, a group of bugbears assaulted the temple, nearly killing Altix, and attempting to assasinate Niko. The party faught well together and was able to kill 2 of the 3 bugbears, though more escaped and Altix was gravely injured. Niko was able to save Altix's life, while the 3rd bugbear was knocked out and held for questioning...
