Auleilei

Islands of the elements

Auleilei is one of the smaller continents, about the same size as Argandor . It is made up of a cluster of tropical islands near the equator, directly south of Nakun . The peoples here have been in Auleilei since a primaveral volcano goddess created the islands in her dying breath before she was slain by another long-dead god. Magic is mainly divine, drawing power from ancient elementals-gods. They are beautiful, covered with flowers, lush jungle, and sunny beaches, but the elemental gods rule here, and their nature can change on a whim.

Geography

Auleilei's islands are sunny and tropical, with colorful flowers, lush jungles, and idyllic beaches. The sea is warm and huge coral reefs thrive under the surface. Most of the isles have a volcano or several volcanoes at their center, making eruptions a constant hazard along storms and wrath of the elemental gods that rule here. Numerous awe-inspiring places can be found here, like the Karakawa Waterfall, or the Skull of Puia, now inhabited by a warrior gorilla-god.

Fauna & Flora

The flora of Auleilei vary from island to island, but include many tropical plants like bromelieads, liana vines, fig, palm, and mango trees, and thousands of other species, many of which grow nowhere else in the world. They usually grow to form lush jungles covered with ferns, orchids, and moss. The leafy canopy also limits light in the forest floor, encouraging a wide variety of fungi to grow on dead leaves and logs.   Fauna have an amazing degree of variety in the region, with a rough food chain being something like this: Grubs, frogs, small mammals > larger lizards, lemurs, birds > monkeys, gorillas, alligators > jaguars, feathered psuedodragons, sahuagin, giant alligators > demigods.   The demigods of Auleilei are ordinary animals raised to semidivine status by the elemental gods to watch over their realm with more specific portfolios. For example, the gorilla-demigod Yameyame Moto serves as a warrior god for the peoples of the islands and watches over the new volcano goddess's realm for her.

Puia was an elemental volcano goddess until she was killed by another god, now long dead. With her dying breath, volcanoes sprang out of the sea and erupted, making the islands of Auleilei. Some cult members seek to gather enough worshippers to resurrect her as thanks for creating their home.
