The group rescues Eri from a roc / Eremundus ascends

The group rescues Eri from and Pasquale from a roc. Horseradish dies. Eremundus returns to his true form. Eri is visited by Velsharuun. Horseradish lives.

Session 48A: Eri and Pasquale’s tree escape
Eri and Pasquale are taken back to the to the rocs nest during a sleepless and harrowing flight. They’re both dropped at a nest with a bunch of newly hatched roc babies, who the mother insists on retrieving their own food. When they don’t the mother sits on the group and waits. It seemed futile until, horseradish’s winnies came in through the mountains. The mother flies off to capture the horse, and eri hands Pasquale an invisibility potion to retrieve his rock, which is sitting in the nest. The two maneuver the hatchlings, and Pasquale reaches his stone reverting him back to is true form, Eremundus. The two scale down the mountain, Eremundus allowing Eri to climb without his intervention. Eremundus scaled down largely with ease, but Eri struggled, nearly falling several times, and eventually alerting the attention of the Roc. A sanctuary spell allows her to start climbing again, but only for the bird to barrel down upon her once again. In a last-minute defense, Eris form of dread triggers, and on her last erditch blast, temporary scared off the Roc. On the home stretch, Eri fell, only to be caught by Eremundus. In the last-ditch effort, the two sprinted toward a far-off cave. And directly behind are pursued by the roc.   Session 48B: The Boys Charge to the Rescue We bed down and the night passes peacefully. We wake up with resolve as we make east for Eri after sending her and discovering she's being taken by the Roc to a massive tree in a verdant valley. We make haste and eventually come across the giant tree. We get close and see Horseradish galloping past us, we pursue and see the Roc pick Horseradish up. We sending Eri and she says she's climbing down the tree; we plan to have her jump and use feather fall on her. We see the Roc flee in fear and surmise that Eri used her dread form. Finally, we get close and see Eri fall off the tree and land several feet off the ground, she runs from the tree with the Roc in pursuit. Session ends.

Session 49: Roc Fight

We fight the Roc and save all parties, the roc chicks begin to fall from the tree and most of them collide with the ground. As the the roc receives more and more damage, it's priorities turn to protecting it's babies. We seize the opportunity and leave the area.
Sal scolds Eri for risking her life and the party as a whole. We make to intercept E4 and Pasquale reveals himself as an entity known as Erimundas, offering us his minor boon, his breciole. We eat it and get a taste of enlightenment, but get the feeling the full boon will not reach us quite yet. Then Erimundas transcends and bursts among the stars.
Vel decides against eating his portion of the braciole, instead bring up the idea to give it to Ripley. Sal and the others are against this. Vel pockets it for now.
Sal messages Ripely, “Hello Ripley, its Sal from the CR5 , we found Eremundus, he turned into stars, meet in Oseta”
I send Ripley telling him that we met Erimundas and to meet in Osetta. He responds that he will be int he Locke District, Umbridge Inn. THIS WAS A MISTAKE, WE ARE NOT HEADING TOWARDS OSETTA, WE SHOULD PROBABLY FIX THIS AND TELL HIM TO MEET IN IRELURST OR PREPARE TO WAIT. We settle down for the night and Vel prepares the Roc chicks. Eri wakes up after a bad dream and sees a man sitting on a log with a mastiff. The man seems friendly and reveals himself to be a shepherd who lives nearby. It's probably fuckin Velsharuun calling it now. He talks about losing friends and how we can bring them back. Suddenly the earth moves behind Eri and she looks and sees Horseradish pull herself from beneath the ground. Horseradish is touched with undeath and her ribcage shows, her backhalf has no flesh and her skull is exposed through one half of her face, eyeless. The man now appears gaunt beneath the moonlight, his mastiff, Fen, returns to him and hands him something. A monestary deep within the gorlack mountains, that's one route, amongst others. However should you choose it, you will find answers. You can choose that, or another way, but no matter what you'll need a way to get there. He gestures to Horseradish. Eri seems lost and the man taunts her, reminding her of their conversations in the past. Eri feels a metal object thrust into her hands. It is a rusty metal crown.
