Personal history
Yiri was raised in a bourgeois family in Port Town, in the Province of Senestry. For the most part, she would stay around the home, and rarely traveled down the roads. Eventually, she pursued a career in mercantile trade, particularly in over-land shipping seafood, but became unhappy when she found herself alone and single at thirty, always having dreamed of meeting and marrying royalty through her childhood. Unfortunately for her, this did exactly happen: at the age of 32, while on the road to Turné, she was ambushed by a group of six roving axe-men and bandits. She was kidnapped and brought to the Castle of the Lost, where she was made prisoner of King Maccus Derabusase. He was rough and often mistreated her, until she softened his brutish resolve. He married her, and after a year or so, she actually began to fall for him. She adopted his name and shorted hers, and gave birth to a daughter. Her husband was often away, and when he was present, he was never the same, particularly as a result of the wars he fought in. The only joy Yiri really found was with her daughter Marie, and so, to protect them from the war, Maccus moved the pair to Castle Vetus upon Tharifell Island. She raised and personally educated Marie there, until Maccus summoned her back to the Castle of the Lost. However, a storm hit the journeying crew, and their ship ran aground on Zanthernos Island. The inhabitants on the island killed the crew, including Yiri, which it is here where her story ends.
