(The first time Julien ever used the Sight, in Nira's vardo. Bold indicates moments where his voice became his father's.)

Focus (center): The Dark Master

"This...this is my father. He's a very bad man--no, he's not a man. He looks like one, but he came here from somewhere else, somewhere very far away, and now he's trapped in this backwater prison. But misery loves company…"

Past (left): The Merchant

"My mother...it was business, a transaction. He just...used her to get what he wanted. That's what he does, he uses people."

Present (top): The Bishop

"He's using people for some...plan...he's…I'm--I'm not the only one! There are others, I have brothers and sisters, I have a long string of failures. Of course, what is fatherhood if not disappointment in one's children? You would know all about that, Rose, wouldn't you?"

Future (bottom): The Tower

"He wants to escape, he wants to…ascend? But he needs a key."

Outcome (right): The Torturer

"But that's not all, he's trying to make a...a sword, he…"
*seizures*
"He wants to hurt Aunt Rose. No, lovely Rose is a means to an end; would that all tools were such a pleasure to use…"
At that, he had a violent seizure, and Rose took him out of the vardo, where he made a prophecy about the Dark Man's plans.
