Silessa
Silessa began her life as a viper familiar in Sithicus. Her master, realizing that a humanoid would make a far more useful assistant than a viper, polymorphed her into an elfmaid and cast Permanence for good measure. However, he wasn't exactly known for his kindness, so when the Carnival came to Sithicus, Silessa ran away and joined it.
Although Silessa's master has dismissed her, Isolde's power lets her keep her intelligence as long as she stays with the Carnival. If she's separated from Isolde for too long, however, her mind begins to revert to that of an ordinary snake. The Twisting has given Silessa a forked tongue and slit-pupiled golden eyes to reflect her serpentine nature.
