The Tunnels of Terra

Overview

The Tunnels of Terra, previously known as 'The Nora Network' is a system of underground tunnels which span a large portion of Raiyon. Originally in their design (pre dark-age) they were used for trade purposes, travel, military and leisure. The idea was that citizens across Raiyon would no longer be limited to their home town, they would be free to travel and connect with others on a larger scale.
In present day, the tunnels have been renamed to the tunnels of Terra. Leading up to and during the dark-age, a lot of these systems fell prey to great earthquakes which sealed sections or destroyed the tracks laid for carts. Following these events, Earthbound started to inhabit the tunnels wandering aimlessly between settlements across the world. In order to protect themselves from unwelcome guests, a lot of smaller settlements sealed the entrances to the tunnels themselves, thinking it was more beneficial to prevent further problems rather than attempting to deal with the one they already had.
