Olkedo Session 14

General Summary

Our protagonists Jebedaiah Bateman, Toshi Ryoko, Nieve Powell, Brick, and Rasputia have been accidentally transported somewhere deep in the jungle, thanks to a teleporter malfunction. Upon their arrival, two people who call themselves The Forest Defenders steal the teleport anchor they came out of, which is their way back to Muscaria. The Forest Defenders tell them that they will never destroy the forest and use a glowing green orb to command vines from the jungle to grab our heroes and pull them into a large stone temple and seal them inside with a large stone slab. Inside the temple the heroes make their way through the rooms by solving puzzles. Each room corresponds to a different affinity, and has a statue and a pedestal each with a glowing orb of a different color which they collect along the way. Due to a Mystery Condition Jebedaiah develops a phobia of Hibisticuffs and Nieve develops a compulsion for bathing. At various times in the dungeon they are attacked by vines which steal some of their Majimonsters. At one of the last rooms of the dungeon the Forest Defenders, Vinomancer and Orchantress, confront them and an epic battle ensues. Our heroes defeat them and take back their stolen drajules and the teleport anchor. Brick headbutts the Vinomancer as payback for stealing their drajules in the first place.   They learn that the Forest Defenders attacked them because they thought that the group was from the town of Greenmaze, who have been causing destruction to the forest. The Forest Defenders, wanting to protect the forest, have been trying to sabotage the town. They reveal that their plan is to burn the town to prevent further damage to the forest. The adventurers convince the Forest Defenders that they are trying to help the forest too, and become allies. They make the Forest Defenders promise not to burn the town of Greenmaze if they can find another way to stop them from destroying more forest. They leave the teleport anchor in the 2nd to last room of the dungeon and the Forest Defenders promise to keep it safe. The Forest Defenders give them a green orb which was missing from one of the dungeon rooms. With all of the orbs now in hand they are able to enter the final room. After solving one final puzzle they are admitted to a grand temple. There are 11 large statues that look like the statues found previously in each room of the dungeon. There is a basin at the base of each statue. They put the orbs in each basin. When they do a necklace magically appears in each of their hands and a cache opens in the floor revealing a black stone and an empty looking glass vial, which they believe to be another phylactery.
