Realm of Saebetia

Every mortal in the world of Saebetia is chosen by a deity at birth. This choice takes the form of a tattoo somewhere on their body. Sometimes a god or goddess will bestow a boon of magic onto their chosen people.   Since the creation of the mortals, this is how the world has worked. People worship their deity, accept the gifts that may be bestowed upon them, and go about their lives.   But now, a god is dead. The Caeles, servants of the gods, have almost disappeared entirely from the mortal realm. Horned creatures calling themselves Relictus have started appearing and terrorizing the mortals, burning towns down and stealing people away in the night.
