Myth of the Primordials
"It is said that in the beginning, before us, before caeles, before our gods, The Creator shaped his first entities. He called them Primordials. There were eight created. each with a different affinity, Earth, Fire, Water, Air, Dark, Light, Acid, and Force.
They were disgusting creatures, all sharp teeth and oozing skin. Huge, hulking beasts that tore apart everything in their way, including each other. After Dark fatally injured Light, The Creator attempted to destroy them all, concerned with the kind of monsters he had unleashed.
But he had underestimated the power he had given them and soon learnt they could not be destroyed except by each other. Instead, The Creator imprisoned them in separate caverns on our world.
definitive
In studying what I can of the Primordials, I have observed that the closer we get to current publications, the fewer mentions of this myth. I fear the myths are no longer being passed down as they should. That is why I've chosen to place this information within this book of known facts about the creation of our gods."

Historical Basis
Some mortals over the years have claimed to have discovered where one of the Primordials has been imprisoned. No definitive proof ever comes from these claims and expeditions into the areas have always ended in fatalities with those alive refusing to go back. This has led some to conclude that the Primordials must exist, however, officials backing said expeditions have blamed these deaths on improper equipment or unpreparedness.
Spread
The idea that Primordials exist deep within the earth has been largely dismissed by all academic communities in Saebetia. The myths surrounding them have been all but forgotten as the mortals latch onto other ideas to explain tragedies.
