Worthe
Keeper of Balance
Worthe is the shapeless, omnipresent keeper of balance and nature. They are an Elder God, child of Oasis and Omien who was gifted dominion over the natural and elemental word. Worthe's purpose is ensuring nature is allowed to flourish and remain in balance across Winval, maintaining the circle of life.
Holy Books & Codes
"The natural world keeps life in order, it predates us and will outlive us. Should nature collapse so too would the world as we know it, balance must be maintained at all cost. Worthe is both mother and father to all that exists around us and oversees our action. We are Worthe's voice, Worthe's hands and Worthe's influence among Winval and as such must carry out their will. Without the predator, there is not enough food for prey just as without prey there is no food for the predator. The circle of life maintains us and as such we must maintain it in return."
Tenets of Faith
Worthe is unable to create colossal influence in Winval and knows they cannot show themselves, for their true form would drive all those that saw it mad. So they instead work through their devotees, speaking to them through the natural world should they need.
Being the god of nature and keeper of balance, Worthe's devotees are obliged to maintain nature and the natural order of the world. Refusing help or ignoring threats to the natural world of Winval is considered sinful and will weaken a followers connection to Worthe thus diluting their power. Worship of Worthe is most abundant in settlements on the edge of civilisation and among those taking up a nomadic lifestyle as they live closer to nature and thus are more incentivised to protect and care for its well-being. Because of this, Worthe is a popular deity among races such as Elf and Tabaxi who live within nature. Constructs of nature such as dryads, treants, shambling mounds and elementals credit their life to Worthe, created by them with guiddance from their father Oasis before The Split of Olkvast.
Physical Description
Body Features
Worthe's true form is ever changing and impossible for the human mind to conceive and as such, all who claim to have seen them have subsequently been driven mad trying to comprehend what they have witnessed. They are said to have an infinite span of wings that could block out the sun, hands outstretched across the entire globe with eyes on their palms so that they may see all the world at once, a tail like form of robes and mass that circles and floats about their person and a pale face with infinite mouths, each with tongues that stretch for miles and may speak to anyone through the natural world they have dominion over.
