Lord Marcus Tremaine was just a simple nobleman of the Kingdom of Verrelia with a small estate to his name when he met a seemingly young Cindellia. He would soon learn of her past as an Archfey who had run from her home in the Feywild to find a simple life. They married and had a daughter, Cinderella. Soon after his daughter's birth however, Marcus lost his wife to the Winter Plague.
He found a second love in Belladonna who had two daughters of her own, Anastasia and Drizella. All three took Marcus' surname when they married. Soon after Marcus too died to the plague. After his death Lady Tremaine became cruel and unkind to Cinderella and seemed only to care about her own daughters, maybe Cinderella reminded her too much of the second husband she had lost to sickness?
