Anadia

The first planet from the sun, Anadia was often referred to as one of the Dawn Heralds by the natives of Toril.
Geography
Anadia could be seen from Toril and looked like a small amber-colored orb with green poles. Due to its proximity to the sun, most of the planet’s surface was too hot to support humanoid life. Its equatorial region was a rocky wasteland marked by enormous canyons inhabited mainly by umber hulks and other beasts able to withstand the heat.   However, the north and south polar regions supported a warm and humid climate favorable for humanoid life. Both poles supported separate halfling populations that enjoyed rolling verdant hills that grew rich and denser in vegetation the closer you moved to the center. The central points even supported snow-capped mountains allowing water to flow into lakes and freshwater seas.
The Equatorial Wastland
The rocky region is a wasteland that supports very little intelligent life, but this does not mean the area is uninhabited. Monstrous creatures known as Umber Hulks form primitve tribes that roam the desolate terrain in search of food and water. The creatures were introduced by the Neogi, who were attempting to set up a self sustaining slaving colony. Instead, they lost control of the creatures and now terrorize the planet with raiding parties.
The Anadian Polarates
The north and south poles are home to a very unique native species of halflings. These humanoids are very dark skinned, with unusually small eyes and ears. Unlike their cousins they lack the ability to see in the dark, possibly due to their proximity to the sun. These two settlements hate each other and rarely communicate.
