Karpri

The fourth planet from the sun, Karpri was a bottomless ocean with no land masses.

Geography

Karpri was a bottomless ocean with no land masses. There were three distinct regions: The poles which were dominated by thick ice caps, the temperate areas which were open oceans with water transparent enough to allow visibility to great depths, and the equatorial zone, which was dominated by massive patches of seaweed and kelp.

Inhabitants

The clean oceans of the temperate and tropical latitudes were inhabited by colonies of aquatic elves, who lived in symbiosis with the other cetacean life forms on Karpri. The aquatic elves were originally from a broken colony that once lived below the Azure Sea on Toril. They were transplanted to Karpri to ensure the continuation of the elven subrace.
Cetacean life forms on Karpri were very docile and gracious. This made them a prime target for hunters looking to harvest their oil and ambergris, which prompted their aquatic elf allies to attack most spelljamming vessels on sight, either as a precaution or for revenge.

Government and Trade

Deep within the endless sea of Karpri contained the capital city of Amakiir (Gem flower in Elvish). Living there is the largest population of Aquatic Elves in known Realmspace supporting a population of roughly 1.5 million elves. King Arthion Oriberos leads the city of Amakiir in a socialist government. The concept of private property, for the most part, did not exist among aquatic elves. Whatever given aquatic elf currently carried on their person could be considered theirs, but everything else belonged to the community as a whole. Unfortunately, this was only extended to the elf population and not to outsiders who were shunned from the city under normal circumstances. After their populations were decimated on plant Toril over 300 hundred years ago the Aquatic Elves failed to see the point of outreach other than for trade.
Despite their caution to the outside, some trade did still happen with the Aquatic Elves. The city of Amakiir was settled upon large crystalline caverns that contained rare and powerful gems used in both magic and construction. In return, the elves sought weapons, food, and gold which they used in constructing armor, weapons, and even buildings as it did not corrode as easily as steel.
