Starfall

The city of Starfall is a small, but vibrant community of Astral Elves that exists on the planet Coliar. It is a place where the Elves come to produce offspring, as creatures on the Astral Plane do not age. Starfall is a critical location for the Elvish population, and it is currently controlled by five noble families that have held power in the city for generations.   The noble families are the driving force behind much of the city's activity. They are responsible for maintaining the city's infrastructure, providing resources for the various facilities, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the city. They are a powerful and influential group, and their word carries great weight in the city.   Although this is a peaceful settlement, outsiders are strictly forbidden from entering the city for fear of harm to their offspring. This causes many of the Astral Elf younglings to have limited exposure and face challenges in adapting to life outside of Starfall. The isolation of the city may lead to a certain degree of insularity or even arrogance among the children over time.

The Nobles

The following is a brief overview of the five noble houses of Starfall.   House Kiirlaran: This family is known for their skill in the preservation and study of ancient artifacts and relics. They are often called upon to locate these items for large sums of gold and coordinate with other factions or groups to complete the task. House Kiirlaran values efficiency and organization above all else and tends to be very pragmatic and business-like in their approach to life.   House Caladorn: The Caladorns are known for their martial prowess and dedication to protecting the city. They are responsible for maintaining the city's defenses and training its soldiers, and their members are highly respected for their bravery and skill in combat. However, they are often viewed as overly aggressive and militaristic by outsiders unfamiliar with their way of life.   House Zephyrus: The Zephyrus are a family of assassins and spies, specializing in covert operations and intelligence gathering. They are highly secretive and tend to keep to themselves, preferring to operate in the shadows rather than being in the public eye.   House Celestria: This family is responsible for the city's economy and trade relations with the wider multiverse. They are skilled merchants and negotiators, and their members often travel to other planes of existence to establish trade agreements and partnerships. However, they may also be viewed as greedy or mercantile by some, as their focus on commerce can sometimes lead them to prioritize profit over other concerns.   House Arathor: This family is renowned for their expertise in music and art. They are often called upon to provide entertainment and cultural events within Starfall, and their members are highly sought after for their artistic talent. House Arathor values beauty and creativity above all else and tends to be very emotional and passionate in their approach to life.

Religion

The Astral Elves of Starfall gravitated toward deities of knowledge and art including Deneir, Milil, Oghma, Savras, and Labelas Enoreth.
"An idea has no heft but it can move mountains. An idea has no authority but it can dominate people. An idea has no strength but it can push aside empires. Knowledge is the greatest tool of the mortal mind, outweighing anything made by mortal hands. Before anything can exist, the idea must exist first."
