"Oh, alright, I'll play your little question game but you're buying drinks while we do this. How many questions was it, oh EIGHT? Sigh... ok, but i'm a talker so you might be in for more than just the one drink if you wanna keep me going."
1. Where was your character born? - what perspective does it give them? What local knowledge might they have
"So, my family's little ole' castle is near the capitol, Mom actually gave birth to me while her and Dad were doing the rounds at Grathan with all the other local... nobility? I hate that word... nobility. Nobles. Sounds so serious doesn't it? I mean, i guess I do know the who's who of the region and been to my fair share of... I wouldn't say grand balls or anything but yeah they were Fancy. As. Fuck. I'm not like that though, I'm a real salt of the earth kinda person and... oh when the bartender comes by can you remember to ask if they have something a little smoother than this house ale? It's kinda... I don't want to 'bad' but not great. Maybe see what's going on with that top shelf stuff over there. That one in the blue bottle with the gold label. Anyway, where was I? Oh, right, so i'm just a regular person like anyone else."
2. What is your characters gender? - how does this influence your character?
"mmm, much better than the ale. I don't think this is exactly the right glass to serve it in but, ha you gotta do as the locals do. Anyway, so that's a weird question, I'm a lady obviously. But, let me tell you something, people think just because you're the only daughter of Lord Finley Locke and you happen to be a Baroness that life is easy, it's not. It's not like the world is just handed to you a platter... you can't 'eat' a noble title you know? And another things... oh, thank you Mr. Bartender, one on the house? Really, too kind. See, people are sweet. Anyway, another thing, it's like the only expectation they have for me is to marry off and strengthen alliances blah blah. No thank you! I've got hopes and dreams ya know. Don't tell anyone this but I'm going to be an amazing wizard soon. Like real damn soon."
3. Who are/were your parents/guardians? - What influence did your caregiver have on you?
"Honestly, I'm nothing like Mom or Dad at all. They have servants waiting on every little thing they need. They hardly ever leave the castle. Neither of them probably knows what a loaf of bread even costs. And, everything is platinum this or gold that. I 'know' what a good loaf of bread costs. Like one of the really good loaves from Dun's Bakery down Smithering Street, it's like a silver and its worth every bit. I have no idea what the trash loaves cost from other places but I also don't know what bad bread tastes like either! Oh and who needs platinum and gold everything. Just wear simple, basic, silver jewelry like everyone else. "
4. Who were your parents (occupations, role in society)? - What influence did it have on you?
"Can I be real honest with you for a second, like real honest. I don't really know what my Mom and Dad actually 'do'. Like, if you're a shoe maker you probably spend a bunch of hours making shoes and then go home watch dressage shows or head to a wine tasting or whatever, right? But, what does a 'noble' do? Just sit around all day and be fancy? The whole system is just upside down. Why should my Mom and Dad own a whole stable of show horses and hardly work at all when that cobbler works all day and probably has like one show horse? That's fucked up and I'd think Brenvex, blessed is his name, would maybe look into that cobbler's situation a bit."
5. What was your PC doing BEFORE starting session 0? - Why?
"Hmm, let's see, what time is it? Three in the afternoon? Well, I woke up like two ish hours ago so not much really. Same old, same old. There was a party at the inn I'm staying at last night, some mercenaries struck it real rich the day before and came in looking to throw money around. It was a crazy night. Things got real weird. I showed them this trick I learned while studying my spellbook. If you cast Color Spray on yourself you can get so fucked up, it's insane. I got those guys messed up and then had some minor illusions going bonkers till sunrise. Honestly, some of them were still asleep on the tavern floor when I was leaving today. Lightweights. Seriously though, we gotta wrap this up because I'm kinda starting crash here. Gunna need another spray-spray sooooon."
6. Why did they leave their situation to start adventuring? - An opportunity, catastrophic event?
"Well, are you not paying attention, that party got stale and none of those guys were keepers you know? Oh, you mean in general? Well I could have just stayed at home, been married off to some shitty noble's son, and basically just become a baby factory for the rest of my life. I feel like everyone I know that's done that is either really sad and has lots of cats or is participating in some clandestine scheme to assassinate their husband and climb that social ladder with someone else. But, that boring every-day stuff isn't for me. I'm special you know? I can really make the world a better place and show my family that i'm more than just a prop to be married off."
7. What did they leave behind? - Friends, Family? Debts? Kids?
"Gasp! You want my dark secret? I KILLED A MAN! Haha, just joking! Honestly, everyone calm down. Nope, never killed anyone or anything. I'm really glad there's people to like, strangle your chickens or whatever they do so you don't have to. Yeah, no big dark secret. I guess, technically my Mom and Dad have bounty hunters after me because I ran out on some dumb arranged marriage situation but that's gunna blow over, right? But, glass have full, I have no school debt and no kids... that I KNOW OF! Haha, people say that right? Oh and lots of friends, obviously. I'm really funny."
8. What does your character want to achieve now? Why?
"Come on honey, we gotta wrap this up! Crashinggggg. Bessy needs her Spray-Spray. Bartender! Can you give him the bill for me, I really appreciate you! Umm, right right... so really I'm a simple girl. I just want to be one of the regular people and I want to make every day in Braxia just a little bit better for people then it was the day before. But, short term goal is to go get really really high right now, ok? Bye!"
