Mid-Atlantic Stone Rift

Geography

The Mid-Atlantic Stone Rift is a massive tear in the Atlantic seafloor comprised of igneous rock, lava, and basalts formed by the warring between Fire God Vega and Lapi, The God of Earth. In their war, the two gods are believed to have torn apart the crust, spreading the Atlantic Ocean, and sent its midocean ridge into overdrive, creating vast amounts of volcanism and massive eruptions.   The mid atlantic is dominated by the structure, with vast valleys, underwater mountains, underwater volcanoes, and plains filled with igneous rocks. While much of the rift is no longer geologically active, some regions still are, producing semi-regular volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and vast regions of hydrothermal vents.
