Mental characteristics

Personal history

Svrar was born to a family of a previous tiger god's priesthood and raised within the cult. Xe grew into the role of a priest xemself, serving their patron and began to take on duties to lead the priesthood. On coming of age, Svrar was named the tiger's high priest, officially giving xem control over the cult. For many years, the cult followed Svrar as their leader with no issue, but even the high priest could not predict their god's retirement following the death of his heir in battle. The tiger gave up his position, passing the role onto Svrar, citing xir competence, drive, and ambition to keep the cult stable and prosperous. Xir first act was to enact revenge for the tiger's fallen heir, continuing the war between tigers and cranes, and successfully killed the crane god and her heir, leading to the end of a bloodline.   With the end of that war, Svrar claimed the fallen crane's territory for the tigers, expecting that the crane's replacement, a mortal by the name of Soliairs Taeyang, would be timid and meek due to inexperience, but Soliairs proved to be challenging immediately, willing to start the war again and to use underhanded tactics to give themself the advantage. Svrar and Soliairs came to many blows, and the god of tigers enacted a plan to get Soliairs' fleet into a trap- While Soliairs was away and preoccupied with the birth of their twins, Svrar lured the remaining fleet into thinking xe would attack Soliairs directly, when in reality, Svrar's sights were set on Soliairs' right hand and partner, Benjamen Stridde.   Svrar, through use of illusions, magic, and stealth, managed to board Ben's ship and trick him into not realizing how damaged the ship actually was, causing him to believe he had more time to secure his crew and when he went below deck, trapped him in the sinking vessel, and Svrar fled. He only realized this too late, when Svrar's illusions faded once the tiger was out of range to keep up the spells, and the ship was already descending below the waves. Benjamen drowned, and many ships within the fleet were lost, which the tiger claimed as a massive victory.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Svrar became a goddess at quite a young age due to their family having served the tiger god for centuries. At first xe was elevated to a high priest, and at the death of the fallen god's son who was going to become their heir, Svrar replaced him.   Xe was also responsible for the death of Benjamen Stridde, Soliars' long time boyfriend and right hand. This was part of a complex plan to take advantage of Soliairs being weakened and unable to protect him, in effort to make Soliairs retreat from their long lasting war with the tiger god. While killing Ben did succeed, the rest of the plan did not.

Failures & Embarrassments

Svar's plan to take advantage of Soliairs' weakness did not work, as Soliairs had Ben revived by Shia, and now serves Shia, the God of Death personally. Perhaps more now than ever, this has made Soliairs and Benjamen both even more terrifying opponents due to their use of death magic.

Social

Reign

One of the older goddesses, Svrar is well known for having a long lasting and stable reign without competition. Other local gods are often terrified of Svrar and quickly bend to xir natural prowess in commanding xir power and large following.

Social Aptitude

Svrar is known to be quite hands off with xir followers and even xir devouts, only displaying strict professionalism with no hint of animosity or affection to mortals in general, despite xir roots as a goddess. Often, Svrar can come off as cold because of this, but within xir own territory, Svrar is often regarded highly and taken as being quite respectful, not pushing xir power nor looking down upon mortals.   To other gods, however, Svrar can be incredibly vicious and downright hostile, looking down upon weaker gods and often boasting that those above xem are not deserving of their legacies. Allies of Soliairs or followers of Shia in particular Svrar is quite hateful to, threatening war or even drudging up old peace treaties just to break them in order to swing conflicts into xir favor for negotiation. While many regard this as extremely petty and at times the mark of a warmonger, those more favorable to Svrar view it as a mark of the goddess' cunning and strategic mind to ever gain the upper hand.

History

The Crane and Tiger gods have been at war with one another for centuries, no matter who the actual gods were, due to territory disputes and fiercely competitive cults. This is no different between Soliairs and Svrar, who almost immediately began to war with one another. Svrar is actually partially responsible for Soliairs being the god of cranes, as xe killed the previous god and their heirs personally.   Svrar is also responsible for the death of Soliairs' boyfriend, Benjamen Stridde, assassinating him as an attempt to weaken them and throw the war in their favor.

History

Ben died at the hands of Svrar directly- Soliairs had recently given birth to their two children, Gulana Taeyang and Heritai Pagoni, and due to this, was unable to perform their duties as a god for a short period. During this, Ben took over Soliairs' fleet alone and became trapped in an ambush by Svrar.   Recognizing the danger, Ben evacuated as many of the ships as he could, despite the god actively sinking many of them, and in an effort to retrieve important documents on who precisely was on the ships, became trapped. Svrar used illusion magic to fool him into thinking that the vessel was not sinking as fast as it was and by the time the illusion faded it was too late- Benjamen was trapped below deck and drowned.   This act was cruel, and meant to emotionally and mentally cripple Soliairs along with destroying many of the god's assets in their war, and also done out of spite for the importance they placed in a mere mortal. Having been revived by Shia, Ben continues to despise the tiger god, and seeks to kill xem at the first opportunity as revenge.

History

Svrar already dislikes John by default as they consider themselves an ally of Soliairs. It doesn’t help that xe find the current god of fireflies loud, grating, and annoying. On top of that John is willing to be allies with, come to the aid of, and involve themself in conflicts with weak gods that Svrar looks down upon. JL is also one step away from being the complete opposite of professional. JL appears to find xer use illusion magic intriguing, especially since they also use and dabble in some forms of this kind of magic along with slights of hand, and it is said that they have been researching it.

Relationship Reasoning

In the past he appreciated xer elegance and professionalism but now he sees xer as being heartless and needlessly cruel. Xe doesn't respect Chevalier at all and sees him as a weakling god, using other gods like John de Luminarie for protection. It doesn’t help that the god of crickets is close enough to what xe consider to be an ally of Soliairs. Whenever Svrar messes with Chevalier, John de Luminarie is rarely too far behind and will insert themselves into the matter.

Wealth & Financial state

An extremely wealthy god in xir own right, Svrar's temples and shrines are prosperous and often laden with gemstones, gold, silver, and fine silks. Svrar's shrines are kept immaculate and regularly maintained, regardless of how far from the center of the tiger's territory they are, with their cleanliness and bounty said to be a key point of pride to the goddess.
