Tarantum

A subgrouping of the Arachne, primarily located around the equator such as southern North America, South America, and central Asia. Tarantum Arachne are distinct from other ethnicities of their kind, having a much lower tolerance for cold weather, large body size, and higher levels of dimorphism between sexes.

Major language groups and dialects

Due to their highest populations being found in South America, Arachne and in particular, Tarantum Arachne typically speak Brazilian, Portuguese, Quechua, and Guarani. The second most common group of languages comes from central Asia, where this group is also in very high population, commonly speaking Mandarin, Korean, Tibetan, Mongolian, and Vietnamese.   Common also is a language generally spoken by Arachne, but less favored due to poor relationships with the dragonflights and Tarantum Arachne will typically insist on using other languages over Common.
