Kohan

Geographic Features: Kohan is a land of stark contrasts, boasting a range of environments that capture the essence of Obrura. To the south, the state experiences high temperatures, making it a challenging terrain for those unaccustomed to the heat. The Badlands, a rugged and arid expanse, contribute to the southern region's distinctive character. In contrast, the northern part of Kohan features the Calm Bluffs, where milder temperatures provide respite. The Treforte Woods , situated by Bleakburn, offer a unique blend of nature and industry, creating a dynamic landscape.   Environment and Ecosystem: Kohan's ecosystem varies across its regions. In the Badlands, hardy flora and fauna have adapted to the harsh conditions, creating a rugged beauty. The Treforte Woods, although now sparse due to industrialization, still maintain a delicate balance of nature and human activity. The Calm Bluffs, with their milder climate, host diverse plant and animal life, making it a more hospitable environment.   Seasonal Changes: Kohan experiences distinct seasonal changes, with the southern regions enduring hot summers and milder winters. The Treforte Woods witness industrial activities that impact the ecosystem, influencing the seasonal patterns. In the Calm Bluffs, the transition between seasons brings about moderate temperature changes, creating a more temperate climate.     Aether-laden Smog: Bleakburn, the industrial heart of Kohan, is enveloped in a unique phenomenon – the Aether-laden smog. This smog is a byproduct of the extensive industrialization and the heavy use of Aether in the region. The air is thick with magical particles, giving it a visible, ethereal quality. The smog creates an otherworldly atmosphere around Bleakburn, with shimmering hues and faint, magical glows in the air.

Geography

Bleakburn:

Industrial Heart: Located in the western part of Kohan, Bleakburn stands as a sprawling industrial city. Smokestacks rise into the sky, emitting Aether-laden smog that gives the city an otherworldly appearance. Rivers and Canals: The city is crisscrossed by rivers and canals that carry both water and magical byproducts from industrial processes.

Treforte Woods:

Sparse Forest: Once a lush woodland, the Treforte Woods have become sparse due to industrialization. However, pockets of ancient trees and mystical flora remain, adapting to the presence of Aether-laden smog. Magical Residues: The magical residues from Bleakburn settle on the forest floor, creating areas of heightened magical activity. Some plants and creatures have evolved to thrive in this unique environment.

Tarrin:

Farming Village: Tarrin, a small farming village, is situated in the central part of Kohan. The villagers cultivate crops despite the challenges posed by the Aether-laden smog and industrial pollution. Agricultural Fields: The fertile lands around Tarrin support agricultural endeavors, providing sustenance for both local inhabitants and those in nearby regions.

Badlands:

Harsh Terrain: To the east of Bleakburn lies the Badlands, a region with rugged and unforgiving terrain. The land is scarred by industrial runoff, creating a desolate yet strangely beautiful landscape. Abandoned Mines: The Badlands are dotted with abandoned Aether mines, remnants of past extraction efforts that have left scars on the land.

Calm Bluffs:

Northern Cliffs: The northern part of Kohan is characterized by the Calm Bluffs, a series of cliffs and plateaus overlooking the colder northern seas. Cooler Temperatures: The Bluffs experience milder temperatures compared to the southern regions, offering a contrast to the heat generated by industrial activities in Bleakburn.

Ecosystem

Bleakburn:

Industrial Dominance: Bleakburn's ecosystem is heavily influenced by industrial activities. Aether-laden smog hangs in the air, affecting both flora and fauna. Some organisms have adapted to absorb magical residues, while others struggle to survive.

Treforte Woods:

Adaptation to Aether: The Treforte Woods showcase a unique ecosystem where ancient trees and mystical flora have adapted to the presence of Aether. Some plants harness magical energy, creating pockets of enchanted groves, while magical creatures are drawn to these concentrations.

Tarrin:

Agricultural Challenges: Tarrin's ecosystem faces challenges from industrial pollution, impacting traditional farming. However, resilient crops have adapted to the changing conditions, and some farmers use magical techniques to enhance agricultural productivity.

Badlands:

Scarred Landscape: The Badlands bear the scars of pastindustry, with the land shaped by industrial activities. Some hardy flora and fauna have established niches in this harsh environment, adapting to the unique challenges posed by the rugged terrain.

Calm Bluffs:

Northern Resilience: The Calm Bluffs demonstrate a more natural ecosystem, less influenced by industrialization. Coastal flora and fauna thrive along the northern cliffs, taking advantage of cooler temperatures and cleaner air.
