Gender/Sexual Orientation of Regencia

Gender/Sexual Orientation Relations:

While I want to keep a large amount of the feel and draw of Regency Era England when it comes to gendered structures of society, I also want to make it a bit more fair and flexible.
Thus, instead of family fortunes being passed down through male heirs, it will be passed down through the first-born, magically-inclined heirs (whether male or female)- as the power and wealth and history of each noble family is passed down because of/through their powers.
When it comes to wooing and pursuing partners, largely men still take on that role, but in Regencia a woman/individual may take the "pursuer" role instead if they wish, and vice versa, with no fear of cultural consequence. The only catch is that, by custom, whichever role one declares at the beginning of the "season" is the one they must stay in until that season is done.
As far as sexual orientations go, that is neither taboo, nor a discriminated idea. Those of all orientations mix and mingle in Regencia without a national history of oppression and trauma.
