Order of the Holy Head

The Order of the Holy Head is an order of banshee, who are sworn to protect the Holy Head of the Immortal Dullahan, Teige. His head is said to speak prophecies and wisdom in troubled times.
Teige was one of the first generation of dullahan to be born rather than created, and is remembered as a tamer of the pooka. Like all dullahan, he could self-segment, and in his old age his body was lost while his head was separated. A group of banshee took care of him while his health deteriorated. He told them he was the son of a god, and when death did not come to him as expected, the claim appeared to be proven.
The Holy Head fell silent not long afterwards, appearing to be sleeping, and has repeatedly been proved to still be living. At several times during the history of the Zartri Valley, where the Temple of the Holy Head is located, the head has supposedly awoken to warn its servants of an impending crisis.
The Order is made up only of banshee, who are known as Keeners. When the Holy Head speaks, they are duty-bound to relay the warning to rest of the valley.
