Scottish Ancestors

The Picts, living in today's Scotland from pre-historic times (likely migrated from Scandinavia) to ca 900AD. They lived on the land along with @celtic ancestors, Scots and many other groups.
In Anchor Book/Jane's journey:
Jane is visited by a Pictish ancestor who tells her that her people are of the Wolf Clan. She shows Jane the Battle of Two Rivers where in the Northumbrian forces laid waste to the Picts. The Northumbrians destroyed Jane's Ancestor's farming village, killed the men and raped the women. Jane's ancestor was able to send some of the village's surviving children into the woods, led by Jane's ancestor's sister. This group became the People of the Woods. Jane's ancestor and her children were taken into slavery.
Wound: Once taken into slavery, Jane's ancestor was forced to practice the ways of the Northumbrians. The ways of the Wolf Clan were largely forgotten in this lineage.
Blessing: The ability to see the connectedness in all things and that all things are the ancestors. The ancestors of blood. The ancestors of the land. And even the gods and goddesses are ancestors.
