Aolir

Aolir, also known as Ocanea and Manann, and known by the title of The King of The Depths, is the god and personification of the ocean. He is the partner of Crith and father of the firstborn Primordials. The month of Ocanair is named after him.   In myth and religion, Aolir has two hounds, Feth and Fiada. Feth is the Black Dog of Death, and drowns sailors that have fallen overboard to take their souls to Aolir's palace under the sea. Fiada is the White Dog of Life, and saves sailors from drowning. Before leaving port, many sailors snap bones in half and drop them in the ocean as a sacrifice to Aolir and his hounds to save them from drowning.
