Fulcrum

When the Gods invest one of their followers with a measure of their power this person becomes a "Fulcrum". A Fulcrum can channel the divine magic of their God, and thus affect the real world on the divinity's behalf. In the Ordering all children go through a ritual known as The Aestimium to determine their career path and future rank in society. Those that does the best will become Fulcrum to one of the many gods that rule in The Ordering
The More powerful a God is the more fulcrum he or she can have. The First Five are the most powerful, followed by The First Generation , then the second, and so forth. Descendants of the Gods below the Fourth Generation are not typically counted as Gods, because they are unable to create fulcrums.
