Military action

The Cities of the Crimson Coast assmble their navies and sortie out into the Golden Sea to put an end to Dead Sea Collective power in that ocean.

Ever since the Battle of Driftwood the Dead Sea Collective had been supreme on the seas. Trade vessels, abbeys, villages, and even fortified cites were at their mercy. The Apex Republic had been crushed at the Battle of Seven Sorrows in 1303. The Silver Lotus War had distracted the Crimson Coast cities. The Ordering Fleet dared not venture beyond sight of the coast.   This all changed in 1430. The brilliant daimyo Makoto Miyama was appointed Shogun in that year. He set in motion the construction of a massive fleet which he was to personally lead. More than a hundred great warships were constructed, manned by tens of thousands of soldiers and sailors.   Khalesar the waterwalker had recieved word of the naval buildup on the Crimson Coast. He predicted that the fleet was going to be aimed at him and his forces. He assembled a massive Dead Sea fleet, composed of ships from nearly every faction within the collective. In spring 1432 this fleet passed through the Strait and Narrow they raided the smaller towns along the Crimson Coast before setting sail for Talonwheel.   While rounding Kēputorasuto north of Talonwheel the fleet of the Collective found the Crimson Fleet waiting. A fierce battle now commenced which lasted all day and into the night. Khalesar himself was wounded, though he slew Miyama. The Sight of the wounded God threw the Collective into panic. By morning the Collective's fleet withdrew having sustained horrific losses. The Crimson fleet was mauled, but victorious. Never again would the Collective venture past the Strait and Narrow in such force. From this point on the Cities of the Crimson Coast would rule the Golden Sea.
