The Battle which broke The Ordering's aura of invincibility upon the stony shores of the Crimson Coast.
In the aftermath of the Battle of Driftwood that opposing sides drew up their forces. The Apex Republic declared for the rebellion, the Crimson Coast broke away from the Ordering, and the Dead Sea Collective ruled the seas with the defeat of the Ordering Fleet. But the Ordering was not defeated yet, it looked like war would consume Renata.
With the withdrawal of the Ordering's forces from the Crimson Coast there was a power vacuum that needed to be filled. The Order of the Silver Lotus made a play for power, hoping to unify all the cities under one central government. This was opposed by a coalition of city states.
The War that Never Was demonstrated that the Ordering could be defied. Many took advantage of this to break away from the old Order.
Tension between the Cobalt Order and the Crimson Coast had been brewing for some time. Would diplomacy win out?

Inspired by the words of Albron the Allspeaking the bourgeois in Hanshu take to the streets to demand reform and an end to warmongering. The Emperor reacts furiously. The Green Banner Army enters the city on his orders to put down the "revolt". Violence soon breaks out. Throughout the last month of spring the streets of the capital run red with blood, in what is soon named Red Spring. Order is restored by the beginning of summer, but nothing has been resolved.
