Argus the Allfather defeats Kaurus the Unmaker and unifies the Pantheon under The Ordering.

The right to rule

The gods were equal in their standing during their whole journey to unite the world, and bring peace, harmony and enlightenment to the races At the end of their journey they once again stood at the very place they had swore to save Renata; Solace. What once used to be a war camp had now become a thriving city. Upon their return the local populace held a triumph and festival in honor of the gods. A week long celebration filled with merriment, songs, dance and wine.   During the celebration the gods would tell stories of their journey to the locals, and boast of their achievements both big and small. Soon enough Kaurus the Unmaker and Argus the Allfather would become embroiled in a boasting competition to show who had done the most for Renata. Before things could take a turn for the the worse Albron the Allspeaking came forward with a idea to finally decide once and for all who was the better of them. The winner would take the place as the leader of the god, and the loser would be the shepherd of the dead. Both agreed to the terms and were ready for Albron's challenge.   The challenge was simple enough. Give a gift to all the races of Renata that they would be able to share together. The gift that was deemed the best by the other gods and a small council of chosen men. Each god was given the rest of the festival to create the gift (note. it is debated how long this was, and scholars debate if it was four, three or two days).   Kaurus ventured into his magical bag in search of the perfect gift, whilst Argus was seen only meditating in silence. The crowds would be able to see Kaurus jumping in and out of his bag with different gifts he thought would be perfect, but every time he would ponder and return to the bag. Only on the final day would Kaurus find the perfect gift to give and waited in excitement to show the other gods and the small council. It had become nighttime and still Argus had not yet awoken from his meditation. Being impatient Kaurus decided to go first. He presented the judges with a large orb. He threw the orb into the night sky and it flew farther and father away. Finally it stopped in place, a large solitary star was now present in the night sky.   "Behold the God Star, wherever you are on Renata this star will shine for all to see and will illuminate your path".   The other gods and the crowds looked up in amazement and cheered for Kaurus. When the cheering had stopped they all began to wait for Arugs to show his gift.   Finally just a few moments before the midnight moon rose Argus awoke from his meditation and arose. He reached into his pocket and found an apple. He took the apple and cut it, and suddenly every person who lived in Solace had received an apple of their own. He told the people to take a bite of their apple which they did and he exclaimed   "Behold my children for I have now given you the gift of mortality". The people were shocked at what they heard and began to beg and plea to Argus to take away this curse, but he nodded   "It is not a curse my children, but the greatest gift. For once you would live forever, with no thought to your actions. Now you have a limited time in this assistance and you will have to choose how you devout yourself in that time. You will live richer lives for it, and I when you pass from this life I will listen to each and every one of your stories before you travel into the afterlife."   The crowd gave an even bigger roar and cheered the name Argus. They begged him for more apples so they could give the gift to the other places within Renata. Kaurus now realized that he had lost, but he accepted his fate. He bowed his head to Argus and called him Allfather.   The tale of the founding is found in the final tale of the third act of Fidl Crasto's poem "Of Five Stars"
