In the aftermath of the Battle of Driftwood that opposing sides drew up their forces. The Apex Republic declared for the rebellion, the Crimson Coast broke away from the Ordering, and the Dead Sea Collective ruled the seas with the defeat of the Ordering Fleet. But the Ordering was not defeated yet, it looked like war would consume Renata.

The Ordering mobilized an unprecedented force in the aftermath of the Battle of Driftwood, but this army would not be ready before the campaigning season came to an end. Any war would thus have to be pursued in the next year. Over the winter of 1205 - 2006 A.O. The Apex Province declared itself an independent republic. This split the Ordering in two. Many of the gods began to fear that a war would lead to the total defeat of the Ordering, others believed the war would be too bloody to contemplate. A few advocated war at any cost. Calmer heads finally prevailed. Over the winter and spring several agreements were signed with the various rebellious factions of Renata. In return for independence the various factions swore never again to disturb the peace and order of the Ordering's remaining lands. The Dead Sea Collective refused to swear to this, but factionalism and internal conflict soon diminished them from a major threat to an irritant for the Ordering.
