Back in her barbarian days, Edna wielded a giant two-handed axe. These days she's set that aside in favor of colorful witch's robes, but after her rejuvenation she might decide it's time to pick up the old beatstick.

Personal history
Originally training as a barbarian, Edna was one of the adventurers involved in Hoen's imprisonment in his dungeon pocket dimension. She faced off with Hoen himself repeatedly in the years that followed (being turned into a duck at least once), but she eventually grew too old to keep participating in the purging missions. After that point, she became the prison's permanent warden, living in the farmhouse whose basement housed the portal and keeping an eye on the portal's wards. She also retrained into the far less physically stressful path of the witch.
In December of 23 ARL, now-"Auntie" Edna had a heart attack in her kitchen. She was saved and healed by Terana DelGarrod, a legendary adventurer from Renedge who had been directed to the farm (along with her party) by the elven goddess Ireffiel, who owed Edna a favor.
Edna offered to house the adventurers and provide much-needed supplies if they would try a purging run into Hoen's domain: It had been long enough for him to reform after the last run, and any time he was left unmolested was time he could use to loosen his bonds. The adventurers agreed. A day later, Hoen had been freed, Auntie Edna had had a shocking but heartfelt reunion with her old adventuring buddy Zella Iconspire (who was now Hoen's romantic partner, returned from the dead), and the elderly witch had been returned to her physical prime by none other than the demon prince himself.
