The Night Barn

The Night Barn is located North-East in the Winter Forest surounded by many pinetrees, just out of Bear Clan territory. Since the Night Barn is located so up north, it's generally always cold.

Purpose / Function

The Night Barn was built by a couple of Farmers who had hope that they could turn the harsh Winter Forest around the building into a farm for their animals and crops.
The barn became a hangout spot for werewolves during the times where werewolves were common.
Nightshadow founded the Night Barn as a place to shelter animals that had been affected by Bear Clan. Holly eventually bought the land so the animals could live in peace knowing that their ratty barn was safe and wouldn't be torn down by humans.

Alterations

Once Holly bought the barn she added a sign that read: "PRIVATE PROPERTY DO NOT ENTER." to warde off any unwanted humans. With the help of her electrician father Holly also gave the barn some lights so the animals wouldn't be in complete darkness. Holly also built a staircase to make it easier to access the loft. After the Battle of Blood Moon a memorial for the deceased Moonmist was placed outside the barn, being a statue of Moon sitting on a plaque with all the names of the lives lost in the battle.

Defenses

During the War of No Moon Duststorm added some spikes that stuck out of the snow mencaingly. The door was closed (which it never was when Nightshadow was alive) and guards were constantly posted.

History

The Night Barn was built by a couple of Farmers who had hope that they could turn the harsh Winter Forest around the building into a farm for their animals and crops. Obviously, this didn't work. While the Winter Forest wasn't as cold as it is today, most of their crops died and none of their farm animals were very happy. Disapointed with their predictable failure, the farmers moved south and left the barn abandoned.
The barn became a hangout spot for werewolves during the times where werewolves were common. Eventually, all the werewolves died out, and the barn became abandoned once more.
Nightshadow found the barn while running away from Bear Clan, where she hid in it. Nightshadow eventually decided that it would become a safe haven for animals who were hiding from Bear Clan.
Once Bear Clan was neutralized, Nightshadow offered the Barn to be the headquaters for the Moontribe. When Holly became an ally of the Moontribe, she offically bought the proprety and with the help of her father, installed lights and fixed the barn up.
Duststorm used the Night Barn as a base of operations during the War of Blood Moon, once the war ended, the Night Barn returned to being a shelter and hangout spot for animals.

Tourism

The Night Barn is known for its story telling nights that were hosted by Nightshadow. Many animals approve of the fact that the Night Barn serves food, in exchange for seeds and nuts, which is used for hunting by the owners.
Any animals that need to stay in the barn over night are offered one of the stalls.

Although many believe that Nightshadow named the Night Barn after herself, that is far from the truth. Nighthshadow named the barn after how hauntingly beautiful it looked at night, exspecially with aid of the moon.

Nightshadow went back to her barn.
Her friend. Her home.
A place that can never be taken away.
Not like Moonmist.
She looked around the building. The stage that Moonmist used to announce battle. The stalls where they slept.
The place had changed so much since she first found it.
When it was a lonely shell, waiting for a crab.
Now it was a place where animals could go and feel safe.

One of the best spots of the Night Barn isn't a known fact amoung its frequent visitors. Only those close to Nightshadow and her family or a lonely ghost who wishes to escape the crowd knows that the loft above the sea of happy animals is a perfect place to observe the world, or sit alone a night, across from the hole in the roof were the moon may be visible.

-The Night Barn was inspired by the barn in the Roblox game Animal Simulator, although it was not in a snowy location the concept of the how the Night Barn worked was inspired by a role-play me and my friend did. Later, the Night Barn surroundings would be inspired by the Christmas den in Wildcraft.
