Demons
Demons are fiends spawned in Hell filled with rage against reality. Demons are living engines of destructive power who's ultimate desire is to return everything to the the highest entrophic state of pure chaos.
Demons are cruel and savage, utterly lacking any form of compassion and unfamiliar with the concepts of fear or mercy. Demons are more complex that simple killers, most found killing rather boring. A Demon will seek the total ruination of a creature rather than just destroying its physical form.
Demons are utterly self-centered, yet are capable of forming semi-stable ranks of cooperation, if only to present lower ranks a means to ascend to power by currying favor from higher up demons and to give higher rank demons minions to oppress.
The Demon's oppose the viewpoint of the Devils and have waged a war against the forces of Asmodeus, Sovereign of Hell for so long that no one recalls how the war began.
Demon lords or Abyssal lords are powerful demons that command many demons and rule a realm in the Abyss. Some of these have claimed the title of Demon Prince or Archfiend, but these titles are self-proclaimed. Among Demons, there is no agreed upon hierarchy as the Demons fight among themselves as much as they fight against the other powers of Hell.
