Hell

Hell is plane of existence where the gods who defied the Heavenly Emperor were cast into. These Fiends became Devil and Demons. Beings who defy the will of Heaven risk being sent to Hell.

Hell is divided into the Abyssal Realms and the Nine Circles of Hell. The Abyssal Realms are claimed to be numberless, with there always being a deeper level a soul can descend. The Nine Circles of Hell are, Avernus, Dis, Minauros, Phlegethos, Stygia, Malbolge, Maladomini, Cania, and Nessus.

Hell is a battlefield where legions clash and die only to be reborn to fight again. Generally Demons and Devils oppose each other, but strife within the ranks can make strange allies. Over the millennia the battle lines have moved back and forth across realms and there have been epic betrayals, but somehow Asmodeus, Sovereign of Hell remains the Lord of Hell.
