The Undying Queen, The Lich-Queen

Vlaakith CLVII, the 157th queen of the Githyanki rules from the Palace of Whispers in the city of Tu'narath a metropolis built on the floating corpse of a immense dead diety floating in the The Astral Sea.

Jealous and paranoid the Lich-Queen has ruled the Githyanki for thousands of years. She has molded every aspect of Githyanki culture to worship her and her alone.

Reign

Vlaakith was the name of many queens of the Githyanki after Gith, the victorous rebel leader who united the Githyanki against the Mind Flayers. After Vlaakith I created the pact between Githyanki and Red Dragons all subsequent Queens were named Vlaakith.

Vlaakith CLVII rather than raise a daughter /successor chose the path of undeath to become a lich.

After centuries of rule, she became deluded and believed herself to be a god. She installed a priesthood into Githyanki society, and inquisitors to hunt down any who she thought posed a threat to her rule.

For several centuries, now every aspect of Githyanki culture has been bent to her will, to train the Githyanki to fanatically obey without hesitation or questions.
