Shining-Black

Shining-Black is the telluran of the abyssal depths at the bottom of the oceans and deep seas of Ashar. It is the eldest telluric spirit native to the world. Few intelligent creatures pay it worship except for the abyssal ulan. There are, however, Shining-Black cults among the coastal ulan.

Though it is eldest, it is only vaguely aware, having so little communion with sapient beings or even living things. But for those who do establish a communion with it, there is the opportunity to wield massive power at the risk of losing oneself in madness.

The queens of the abyssal ulan are its most powerful priestesses. Offerings are made to it by tying weights to sacrificial victims and dropping them in the cracks at the bottom of the mid-Torvalen rift valley.
