Shurga

The shurga is a massive freshwater fish that makes its home exclusively in the massive Sampa River River that flows west through central Barendar into the Torvalen Sea of Torvalen. Adult shurga are 4 meters in length and have black, scaleless skin with a gray ventral surface. They have large, wide mouths and are filter feeders, feeding off algae and small fish. They are protected by the dhun, like all life in the Sampa River. The Grru'hrem M'hur have a special relationship with the shurga and can call on them to transport them on the river.
