Kenter Nevets
Kenter Nevets lived in the manor house with his wife (Stella) and his four grown sons. Two of the sons (Mason and Oswald) are married and their wives and three children live in the spacious, two-story house. His other two sons (Albrecht and Jeremiah) are members of the militia.
Kenter was the village elder and head of the Council of Hommlet. He would convene a meeting of the Council of Hommlet once a new moon at the tavern to discuss affairs with Hroth, Jaroo, Ostler Gundigoot, and Mytch. He was a main instigator in creating animosity toward Burne and Rufus when they arrived to town and conspired with members of the Black Earth Cult to assist with trying to drive them from town.
His property sits over an old dwarven cave that contained a floating stone attuned to the energies from the Elemental Earth Node from the Temple of Elemental Evil. Black Earth Cultists were using the magical stone to create quakes in hopes of toppling Burne's tower. Since the destruction of the Nodes, the stone has become inert.
After Kenter was revealed to be in league with the cultists and lending aid to Burne's would-be assassins, he was driven from town. His family would take food to him in an abandoned farmstead where he lived out his remaining days in disgrace until his death just a few years after the destruction of the Temple of Elemental Evil. Because of his actions, his family lives with the scandal and has grown nearly destitute having spent the family fortune.
