Lottie

Lottie (human, female) is a former resident of Verbobonc who was recruited into the service of Lareth the Beautiful's gang of bandits to conduct robberies along the highway from Verbobonc to Hommlet. She is best friends with another former bandit named Wesley. Both had attempted to rob the first adventuring party to arrive in Hommlet during the times of the Temple of Elemental Evil's second rising but were captured alive. Wesley and Lottie were held prisoner at Burne's tower for a time before being placed in custody of the genreal store in Hommlet.
Lottie is a thin woman with a bony frame and a pierced nose. She grew up homeless on the streets of Verbobonc and ran with a gang of orphans who pan handled during the day and pick pocketed folk stumbling home from taverns at night. She speaks with an aggressive tone and is distrustful of anyone other than Wesley. She revels her position running the general store in Hommlet ("The Crooked Post") and never fails to tell her "rags to riches" story to anyone who will listen. She frequently takes trips to Verbobonc and other locales to restock the store as needed. She is less remorseful than Wesley when it comes to her past, always seeming to both acknowledge the harm they have done and explain that "they had no other choice."
On the day of the Dead Feast every year, Wesley and Lottie visit scrub down a headstone they had made for Kilrent, another member of Lareth's gang, who didn't make it alive from the Battle of the Greater Temple. Lottie talks about Kilrent with a reverence when she explains that he was just another scrappy lad who was beaten by his father and "ran into the arms of a spider like Lareth" to try and make a life for himself. She often acknowledges that his fate could have easily been theirs if they hadn't had the good fortune to have been captured alive.
