School of Cat is the world's finest feline educational facility, where house cats learn how to be house cats. The school offers two primary degree fields, Magnificence (Mg.) and Mischief (Mf.)

All are welcome at School of Cat, no matter fur style, ear shape, eye color, or even tail floofiness. Cat are cat, always.

Kittens must be weaned and have basic sand skills before enrollment, and so most kittens begin schooling around 8-10 weeks after birth. All students must take a slew of General Feline Education courses (GFEs) in their first year before slotting into either the Magnificence or Mischief track at the beginning of their second year.

The beginning of the third year marks another turning point when kittens may either take Advanced courses on their track, or else switch tracks for a more well-rounded education. There is an optional fourth year (post-grad), though only those who wish to become teachers remain that long.

In the last third of their first year, students who have maintained passing (with satisfaction or better) in their GFEs have more options for recreation. Clubs, teams, and organizations such as Dramatics Club, Dust Boxing, and "Meowlers" Show Choir offer not only socialization, but also teamwork and leadership skills.

Advanced students in their third and fourth are afforded not only more freedom, but also more responsibility. This includes the opportunity to become involved with various student leadership organizations such as Student Meowncil. There, they learn to use their civic voices for the good of all within School of Cat.

Under the current leadership of Principaw Tiberius, the school's mission of educating cats to be the most perfect companions for humans relies strongly on an individualized approach to education. Students are given ample time for exploration and play, as well as limited structured education in the time-honored tradition of generations. This balanced approach that moves toward progress while still being mindful of history has provided the world with some of its most notable feline leaders and celebrities.

While always known for their promotion of the latest in both the physical and the metaphysical sciences, in recent years School of Cat has recieved particular recognition for the Gravi-testers student club. Led by Mister Bones, his passion for gravity and devition to education through experimentation make him a valued leader at the school.

There can be no denying that the arts department is the beating heart within School of Cat. Led by Miss Tiramisu, the arts department hosts not only the Meowlers show choir, but also the Cat National Bathing Ballet Corps.

History

10,000-12,000 years ago: Cats begin their relationship with humans in the Fertile Crescent, attracted by the abundance of rodents around early agricultural settlements. School of Cat is founded to study humans and educate the feline population on sacred duties as objects of worship.

7500 BCE: The oldest archaeological evidence of cats living with humans is found on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. Proof positive of the success associated with School of Cat alumni.

4000 BCE: Cats are depicted in Egyptian art, indicating their domestication and revered status as protectors in ancient Egyptian society and representatives of the great Bastet, skills acquired through their time at School of Cat.

500 BCE: Cats spread to Europe and Asia, often traveling on ships to control rodent populations, the direct result of School of Cat's innovative travel program.

Middle Ages: Cats are associated with witchcraft and superstition in Europe, leading to widespread persecution. School of Cat was nearly disbanded and went into hiding, where it remains today.

17th-18th centuries: Cats regain popularity in Europe as pets and pest controllers. This was due in no small part to much lobbying by School of Cat leadership.

19th century: The first cat shows are held, and selective breeding for specific traits begins. School of Cat students hold protests that turn violent and, ultimately, have little effect on society.

20th century: Cats become one of the most popular pets worldwide, celebrated in literature, art, and media.

21st century: Cats dominate the internet, becoming viral sensations and beloved companions in households globally.
