Val'Gorntrov

Great, grim, bearded faces loom over the level road of flat stones running between rocky walls. Each dwarf head serves as a tower, with curls of hair and beard hiding arrow loops. Helmeted heads peer down from the open eyes of these strange structures, while the mouths appear to be hinged doors of stone that could disgorge an attack.
Beyond those gates the immense, cavernous ceiling rests upon massive columns hewn from the raw stone. Veins of precious minerals glimmer within the columns, which depict ancient dwarven paragons in the midst of great acts—intricate etchings worn smooth by centuries. Domed structures rise from the floor, homes and towers and workshops chiseled from the heart of the mountain, their windows flickering with torchlight. Dwarves clog the streets and alleyways of the subterranean metropolis, hauling metal and rock, barking at one another. This sprawling city of stone holds aloft the immense weight of the mountain above.
In center of this great dwarven city is an artifact regarded by most of the Rok'Rhozden as the most sacred icon of their former glory, Vol'Kan, The Wolf's Throne. Crafted over fifteen years by Vol Atir as he brought an end to the First Wars, this throne represents the victories and achievements of a man they consider to be the second greatest dwarf of all time (beside Orzic) and the greatest king to ever rule. Every Rhozden Monarch rules from upon this throne.
