Elf, Dark

The origin of the Dark Elves is largely thought to be from cross-breeding between Wood Elves and High Elves many thousands of years ago however there isn't any evidence to support this other than natural assumptions.
The modern iteration of Dark Elves however has roots in something much more sinister, with their seclusion underground either evoking something inside them, or placing something evil within the blood of each and every elf in the down-below, with Aboleths as masters to the martyrs. These are, at least, popular stories High Elf mothers tell their children.

Ever since the Elven Blood Blight the drow have retreated into the Underdark that spans, almost entirely, under the island of Pandryll as the other elves no longer wish to mate with the drow due to fear of their children dying to the Blight.
