Humans
The jack of all trades race, humans are highly adaptive and tenacious. Popping up in droves across Rhune, it's hard to find a settlement that doesn't have at least a few humans. While typically seen as average in most things, a human can be found among the top percent of any given trade provided they've dedicated some of their bottomless willpower to it. If you can think of a skill or trade, there's a good chance there's a human somewhere that has mastered it. Despite having some of the highest highs, humans also have the lowest lows. The race is defined not only by its limitless potential but also by its utter lack of evolutionary advantages.
There are, however, multiple kinds of humans. Sometime after the collision event, humans started to develop advanced genetic mutations. These humans are both rare and nearly indistinguishable from regular humans on the outside. These mutations include:
Changelings. Albino humans that are able to morph their bodies to resemble other humans and even other races. Although they can use this ability to gain wings, tails, sharp teeth/claws, etc., they cannot make use of these new traits. They're only for show. Changelings are all allergic to silver, and one exposed to silver will revert to its original form if it was out of it.
Shifters. Humans with a bestial aspect; while they cannot fully change shape they can temporarily enhance their animalistic features– a state they call shifting. This shifting can come in many forms. Including, but not limited to, a thick hide, a swift stride, or olfactory acuteness.
The Kalashtar. Humans with psionic abilities. They can speak telepathically, detect emotions, and in some cases move small objects with their mind. This mutation has somehow stopped their ability to dream, and as such a Kalashtar will have a hard time comprehending the concept.
