Semuanya and Kayquala
Semuanya and Kayquala are the two gods of the Lizardfolk. They both roamed the Beastlands (the plane of the infinite jungle) in the early days of creation. Semuanya settled into a life of survival while Kayquala constantly found itself asking unimportant questions. Kayquala would consider things like if its actions were right or wrong- it would concern itself with the consequences of its actions. Because of this, Kayquala never made any decisions. It spent its days doing nothing but thinking. One day, Semuanya asked Kayquala why it did not hunt. Kayquala responded, "How could I possibly hunt or even breathe without first thinking? The decisions are so many and so great. What if my actions bring trouble? I must be cautious, I must be careful, I must think. things. through." Semuanya did not understand, for Semuanya could not think that way. One day, Semuanya returned from a hunt to find that Kayquala was gone. In its place were two Kayqualas. It seemed that in its indecision, Kayquala had split in half. One was aggressive, waving its sharp claws in the air while the other was passive, hiding behind its partner. Semuanya in its wisdom called the aggressive Kayquala "male" and the passive Kayquala "female." It's said that these two Kayqualas bred and produced more Kayqualas. In fact, the Lizardfolk of today do not refer to themselves as "Lizardfolk." They call themselves Kayqualas.
This leaves Semuanya as the only true god for the Lizardfolk. But, Semuanya is an uncaring and inactive god. Much like the common Lizardfolk of today, Semuanya only cares about survival and breeding. When Semuanya actually aids the Lizardfolk, it's only in the form of protection so that they may propagate the race. This has led most Lizardfolk to instead worship nature itself as it is the thing that stimulates their existence.
