Depictions of Morality

The Endlessness of the Same

A painting of the landscape of hell, showing endless empty land and a grey cloudy sky. Nothing draws the eye, either by sticking out or by showing pleasing harmony.

The Shame of Waste

An expansive of an empty theatre, no lights, no scenery, with just a single singing elf on the stage. It is supposed to show the waste of art when not shared.

The Separated

A charcoal artwork of bored elves resembling those who have been detached from magic. The blandness of grey shows the stagnant and emptiness of like without interest or passion.

The Dilemma

The most famous of the series, this painting of a sad elf sat outside a vibrant party represents the moral dilemma of elvish values to partake in leisure and pleasure, symbolised by a party, when one isn’t enjoying what is on offer. Should one be the spoil sport who stays away, or should one revel with a mask of joy over an exhausted and sorrowful mind? Which of these most meets the values of Rhye?
