The Gods of Darst
In the world of Riftwake, gods are more representations of nature than actual beings with complex consciousnesses. The power of the conscious mind gives power to certain concepts and hence lending them the power to be considered gods and these predictions and thoughts cause these forces to come true. It would be more accurate to call gods, concepts that are given a collective consciousness from the minds of the living. Hence, if someone prays for safety on the road he lends some power from the collective consciousness of the god he prays to bend the threads of fate to his liking. However, normally this is very minute and only those who know how to tap into this force can truly turn fate to something other than which is foreordained. These are people are known as Exemplars and are much like Demigods from other worlds.
