Celestial beings who often have wings, halos, and/or glowing patterns on their skin.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Angelics are humanoid creatures with glowing eyes and occasionally halos and wings. 
Many Angelics may have more facial features than is standard, such as additional eyes or mouths, on various parts of the body. 
Halos are a crown that hovers behind an angelics head. While they may appear spectral, they are attached to the angelic and pulling it will pull the angelics head along with it. Halos are a recessive trait, and rare for any angelic that are genetically less than 80% angelic blood. 
Wings are more common for angelics, about 40% - 45% of angelics have at least one set of wings. Wings can be various sizes. About 20% of angelics with wings have wings that are too small to fly with.

Biblical Forms

Pure (or nearly pure) angelics may have an alternate physical form which does not as strongly conform to humanoid anatomical standards. These forms are highly unique, and can't be easily categorized into any particular arrangement of limbs or features. Most often these forms consist of additional wings, eyes, and a large halo. Some angelics may have a more humanoid biblical form than others, although biblical form traits are passed on genetically families with biblical forms differ from other families significantly.
Angelics that have alternate forms always have a halo and at least one set of wings in their humanoid form, but not every angelic that has both has a biblical form. Angelics in a biblical form are often stronger than humanoid angelics, and biblical angelics have psychic powers separate from their aspect. The exact psychic power may differ between angelics.
An extremely miniscule number of angelics have this alternate form, angelics who are 99-100% genetically angelic - less than 0.01% of the angelic population.

Ecology and Habitats

Angelics have been noted to be capable of surviving in many habitats, but angelics seem to live highest populations in mountains and places of high elevation. Some of the largest communities of angelics are built between mountains on bridges reaching across peaks.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Traditionally, angelics were hunters as farming was made difficult on mountaintops. While angelics are overall omnivores, some angelics with stronger ties to mountainous angelic ancestry may struggle to eat plant based food, if they can at all.

Facial characteristics

Angelics usually have eyes, ears, a mouth, and a nose. Many Angelics may have additional eyes on their face and bodies, or eyes similar to halos that hover around them but are physically manifested.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Many angelics still prefer to be in high altitude locations, but since the integration angelics can be found anywhere in the world.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

In addition to the five basic senses, sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell, angelics can sense ambient magic— the arcane residue left behind after magic is used. 
This sense allows angelics to determine the aspect and style of the ambient magic.

Civilization and Culture

Beauty Ideals

The beauty ideal of angelics is largely based in the concept of ethereal-ness. They are often much taller than average, 6.3 - 7 feet, have large halos, multiple sets of large wings, and additional eyes.

History

The earliest angelic communities can be tied to mountain peaks where angelics lived in tribes. Smaller tribes consisted of 30-50 members and larger tribes could reach well into the thousands. The largest tribe of ancient angelics is believed to have had between 4000-5000 members, which occupied the northern Barskaya Mountains.
In the earliest of these communities in the Pre-Integration Era, angelic tribes were run by the elder(s) of the tribe who were believed to have gained the wiseness and sensibility to govern due to their age. During the Integration Era however the number of pure-blooded angelics decreased due to intermingling with other sapient races. Angelics who had biblical forms would take over as tribe leaders during both the Integration Era and Post-Integration Era due to being stronger and more powerful than angelics who only had humanoid forms.
