Barskaya Mountains
The Barskaya Mountains are a mountain range northeast of Yankovo Perovye which was historically under Yankovo Perovye's control until the area was claimed by Riza during the Rizan-Nanfeng War when it was discovered to contain xzuricite.
Natural Resources
The mountains were discovered to have xzuricite in 2732, sparking the beginning of the Rizan-Nanfeng War. However other than that the Barskaya Mountains have few resources.
History
The mountains were historically owned by Yankovo Perovye. The area had little value and no other nation tried to contest ownership of it until xzuricite wad discovered near the peaks, at which point all militaristic nations became interested in control. The only nations that would come to fight over it were Riza and Nanfeng, as all other nations (including Yankovo Perovye) knew that going to war with either of them would be unwise.
Tourism
Before being controled by Riza there was already little tourism in the mountains. The mountains are remote and difficult to access, the majority of people that visit them are mountain climbers looking for a challenge. Following Riza's occupation the tourism declined even farther, as the peaks of the mountains are covered in well guarded mining operations in which visitors are not permitted.
