Jenari Color Symbolism
The island on which Jenarus exists is known for having a very colorful ecosystem, being home to unique flora which cannot be found naturally outside of Jenarus, as well as highly pigmented minerals. These materials were historically harvested and ground into a fine powder, then combined with a clear paste made from paputua to create paints.
Colors historically have had significant meaning and purpose in Jeanri culture. This color language is so deeply ingrained into the culture that even small children follow it - to break the "rules" laid out by color language is considered to be very tabboo.
