Maweni

Maweni is a type of relationship almost exclusively found in Muwangi. Maweni, or "the village family" refers to the relationship of a tight knit community in which one was raised.   With community reliance being a fundamental pillar of Muwang culture, children are often raised with the help of the entire community. Should a childs parents have to leave, children are often entrusted to older members of the community for safe keeping. This, among other similar examples, are what forms the bond between a child and the community, eventually forming into maweni.   The size of a maweni varies based on how many people were involved in their community and what their community was. In small settlements such as villages it's not uncommon for the entire village to all be part of one maweni. In larger settlements like cities, the maweni may be a smaller section of the population such as all of the residents of a single apartment building.

Prominence

Due to the communal nature of Muwang culture, maweni is very common within Muwangi. Maweni is far more rare outside of Muwangi, as most other nations don't have a similar level of community reliance as Muwangi. Despite being less common outside of Muwangi anyone from any location can have maweni.
